Privacy

The short version

Lapa Lapa does not collect, store or share any personal data. There is no account, no advertising and no analytics in the app.

Settings

Your preferences, such as snow density or which wallpaper you picked, are saved only on your Mac.

Wallpapers

If you turn on winter scenes, the app changes your desktop wallpaper. It asks before it does this. The images come with the app.

Screen Recording permission

This permission is optional and only used if you turn on snow for desktop icons or the top of the Dock. The app captures only the desktop icons and the Dock, about once a second, to find where they are. It does not look at your windows and does not record audio. Images are read in memory and thrown away. They are never saved or sent anywhere.
